EtymologyAnalysis
Do not look for a specific meaning for UCoin. UCoin means Universal Coin International. It's a smart choice but so stereotyped. "UCoin"" was introduced in 2018. Exactly one year after the revelation about the "UCoin cash" (one of the famous scam). Just Google its name.
The similarity of these two names can have three meanings. 1.Managers did not know about that scam. 2.They wanted to use the fame of "UCoin Cash" for themselves. 3.There is a connection between these two projects (team, idea, strategy).
Given the similarity of "UCoin" site (HERE) and "UCoin Cash" site (HERE), and the similarity of the idea (banking), we consider option 2.

UCoin site has been launched since 2018. But we think they have rebuilt it since 2020. In the new version of the site, most team members have been removed.
The Roadmap has been rewritten and all the visual and graphic elements of the site have changed.
This site change revealed a lot of facts to us. You can see the first version of the site HERE and the new version HERE.

ICO (Initial coin offering) details

As you know, they wanted to sell their tokens from 2018. Two years ago, UCoin was supposed to raise quite ambitious between $100M (Soft Cap) and $200M (hard Cap) in direct sales. (such a self-confidence)
But their 2020 plan has changed. The ICO started a month ago to raise $50M.To date, no information is available on their sales and we found out they did nothing.

IEO (Initial exchange offering) details

We have not found any information as to whether listing on exchange and start an IEO.
Based on our research on Ucoincurrency ICO, they do not seem to have a specific target for sale. ( Just an unclear plan for Q4 2020) An irregular and unplanned business. Their initial idea is appealing, but their tokens are quite floating. They have no sales strategy. No business plan. They have no AD campaign. No Airdrop. We do not recommend such a failed and dead project at all.

UCoincurrency ICO started in 2017 with a good idea & team. The banking system they provided was very creative. But by 2020, nothing had happened and some members and advisors abanded the project. In our opinion, they are not familiar with Blockchain and Cryptocurrency and don’t know the rules of ICO and digital marketing. Maybe it would have been successful if UCoin had been launched in a different way. But now, after 2 years of disorder and delay, severe weakness of social media, failed ICO, and lack of token strategy, the UCoin is failed (Like Diagon.io project) and a dead project. If they insist on this method, we will make sure that UCoincurrency is Scam.

We currently offer NO short-term or long-term investments. If they can solve their problems and rebuild UCoincurrency with a new strategy, and renew their social media activity, a multi-stage long-term investment is recommended. (Only because of the MVP & good idea)
